Thresher’s Day Nursery offers a well balanced curriculum, which combines structured activities including:
- dramatic play (children dress up and take on family and community helper roles) science exploration
- music and movement
- cozy corner (a quiet, calming space for reflection and relaxation)
- creative arts and singing
- outdoor games, including sport
Threshers also operates an iConnect portal which enables us to share information about our learning to parents and guardians.
Our children have a weekly one hour sports session with coaches from Youth Sports Development. Their activities are linked directly to the Early Years curriculum and focuses heavily on fundamental movement skills such as:
- Throwing and catching
- Balance and coordination
- Agility and spatial awareness
- Jumping, running and controlled movement
We pride ourselves on ensuring the children develop essential early years skills, including communication, problem solving and team-work.
